Brooks Aqueduct, Brooks, Alberta

Built to carry water form the Bow River to south-east Alberta for the irrigation of 178000 ha of farm land; one section of 3.2 km was an elevated reinforced-concrete catenary designed by Hugh B. Muckleton which was used from 1914 to 1979 when it was replaced by a canal.
